Recipe Rings are started....

OK...so in the effort to organize my recipes, I came across a lady who did her recipes on pretty paper and hooked them together with a binding ring...sooooo I decided to give that a try. Here is what I did.

I got Avery Shipping Labels (5264)..(you could write them out by hand, but I have autoimmue arthritis issues in my hands so typing is easier then writing).   4x6 index cards and Book Rings (all avaliable at Staples).

Stick the Sticker on the cards (or write your recipes)  then punch a hole in the corner and use the book rings to bind the cards together.

bound and done

I am going to keep mine inside the kitchen cabinet.  This is for my GO-TO recipes. The ones that I have made and that everyone likes. :)

New Years COMMITMENTS

Well thanks to a coworker, I am now hooked on Pinterest!  Therefore, I am now on an organizing and cleaning binge. While I find myself unable to commit to the 21 days to get organized challenge http://abowlfulloflemons.blogspot.com/2011/04/21-day-challenge-revisited.html
I can commit to get it together within 2012....
so far I have done my kitchen cubboards, the 4 (YES FOUR) junk drawers and the movie shelf...I am currently working on my recipes.  I hope to have something like this when I am done...http://pinterest.com/pin/252342385340604028/
I am grouping them according to type and purchased hooks so I can hang them inside my cabinets or maybe just under them if  I can get them to look nice. :)

anyway....I will try and post as I accomplish my tasks...I may work like a snail..but I get it done! LOL

In an attempt to organize my life (HAHA!) and try and make shopping and dinner easier, I have been working on menus. The recipes come from a variety of places. If I know where it came from I am posting the link. I don't want to take credit for someone else's tasty creation!!
I posted my plan on Facebook and had some interested in what I had done. SO...**insert royal du-du-du-du- DUUUUUU!! here** Here is week one menu and shopping list (I hope it will post correctly!)  Happy shopping, cooking and most of all eating! :) (I have to say, having this plan is helping me stay on task with both shopping and cooking for my crew!)
